Since 2002 St. Paul Volleyball has provided affordable volleyball programs for girls ages 5-16. From the very beginning player to the athlete preparing for school teams or club volleyball, our clinics, leagues and camps teach the techniques that help girls improve and love the game of volleyball. Our practice formats stress technical instruction followed by lots of fun repetitions minimizing “standing around” or “waiting in line” so even the very young are kept active and the older girls are challenged.
Our large gym allows for separation by skill level within all the age groups. We have some really fun training tools the kids love to use. And most of all, we love working with the girls and we provide a positive environment so they also love the game and continue to play for many years. We help them develop a passion for the game!
St. Paul Volleyball Director, Lynn Andersen, is in her 15th season coaching girls volleyball at St. Paul Lutheran School and running camps, clinics and leagues for the Lakeland community. She played collegiate volleyball at Texas Lutheran University for four years as a setter/rightside hitter and two years after in an Austin USVBA league. Her two daughters, Krista Andersen Peace and Lauren Andersen were both Polk County Players of the Year for Volleyball and earned college scholarships for volleyball to Villanova University and Loyola University, respectfully. Lynn assisted in their navigation through high level club volleyball organizations as well. “I love teaching girls how to play volleyball! I want girls to learn the technically correct way of performing so they can get better faster! I think it is the ultimate team sport and by training girls at a young age, they improve faster and get to enjoy the benefits that volleyball offers. They gain confidence, learn perseverance, make new friends and develop a great passion for the sport!”
